Osteopathy is a healthcare practice using a patient-centered approach that focuses on the patient’s health rather than disease. Osteopaths use manual palpation to identify and evaluate movement in all structural and functional aspects of the patient, identifying alterations of function and movement that impede health. A manual treatment plan is then determined, and interventions are performed with the goal of reducing these alterations and assisting in healing and pain relief.
